"AMAZING!! I can't say enough great things about Ron on our wedding day. Starting off with the planning process, Ron was so attentive and helpful! He was so flexible throughout the year of planning and made every request of ours come true. He helped me plan everything from the food to the buffet set up, to the overall flow of my day. The day of our wedding went so smooth with Ron making sure that everything was falling into place. He managed the appetizers and buffet with unbelievable ease and grace. I know this wasn't easy with our venue but he kept everything on track with guidance and patience. Now onto the food...INCREDIBLE!! I really wanted to provide our guests with a relaxed buffet experience which Ron delivered above and beyond my expectations. We got countless compliments on everything from the food to the cake. Did I mention he made my wedding cake too? The cake was perfect from the three different favors to the beautiful display; It was something out of a wedding magazine. Considering our wedding was outdoors with limited resources and a hardly there prep station/kitchen, I don't know how they did it, but they did. My husband and I were so impressed and happy. "There is no other way to describe Ron except AMAZING! Without his help my wedding would not have been possible.6 days before my wedding, my son was hurt; my husband and I had to be at the hospital with him three hours away until two days before the wedding. Needless to say I didn’t think there would be a wedding much less the reception we had spent months planning. Ron was only supposed to make my cake, but being the great person that he is stepped up and went FAR BEYOND his duties. On the day of my wedding he was there from start to finish and made sure that everything went flawless. He not only provided the most exquisite cake in looks and taste, but the food display was exceptional.Ron also became my full wedding coordinator. He made sure the bridal party stayed on track for a beautiful ceremony. He helped with every detail, making the day stress free for me and allowing me to focus on the things I needed to do; enjoy my day. He helped set up the ceremony area and gave tips on how to make things easier and more appealing to the eye, details I would have never thought of. "When I first decided to have an art show I was thinking about how I could use it as a platform just to get my name out in the art community and to show my work. However, after meeting Ryan Saari (director of the Oregon Public House) and discussing his philosophy on helping to change the world by charitable donations, my intention changed and it became focused on how to raise money for the the Oregon Public House via the Village Ballroom. After deciding on the Village Ballroom as a venue, one name came to mind when I thought of who I wanted to cater such a momentus occasion, Ron Stevens. I’ve known Ron for 7 years now, and having tasted his baked goods for many years, it was basically the two of us sitting down and deciding on what kinds of appetizers we should provide for the event. We met several times and discussed food options, timing, plating, set-up, clean-up, pricing, and even had a tasting! His professionalism and dedication to his craft is unlike anyone that I've encountered in the food industry, Ron is extremely passionate about food and creating just the right bite. We planned on serving about 100-150 people with about 15 different choices of appetizers, from cranberry and walnut stuffed goat cheese drops to chardonnay soaked strawberries on shortbread with chantilly cream and chocolate ganache, everything was spectacular in presentation and perfectly delectable.In my experience, this was not only a huge success for me as an artist, but the rave reviews and compliments I received from everyone whom attended about the professionalism of Ron’s staff to the taste and display of his food was absolutely impeccable. I will continue to highly recommend Fork it Catering to anyone that has a need for a catered event or for a beautiful wedding cake."

We recently engaged Fork It Catering for our wedding reception, and it was the best decision of our entire event! I will start by saying that we have a diverse group of friends, with all different kinds of dietary needs. For some caterers, this would have been burdensome, as I have learned from talking to other couples. But Ron helped us with how we could include elements that would satisfy everyone's dietary requirements. As my husband and I were new to all of this, we weren't sure what we needed to do, and this is where Ron excelled. He helped us plan things that weren't even part of the catering part of our event, guiding us through the important decisions that had to be made, and even giving us the 30 day out plans, 14 day out plans, 7 days out plans, and what we needed to do the day of the event (which was really nothing except to bring the wine and beer that we were bringing from our private collection to share with our friends and family). Throughout the event, there were two overwhelming themes that people told us. They enjoyed the space that we had chosen, a little hidden gem in Southeast Portland. But the praise for the food was what people kept raving about - and I joined in with that praise. Everything was fresh and delectable, spiced perfectly, and the presentation was gorgeous. Not only did Ron and Fork It do our catering, but they did our cake, as well as a separate dessert for our vegan and gluten free friends. People raved over BOTH, and there were several people that had both desserts!
In all, the day was beautiful, and made all that much better by Ron and his staff. We couldn't have made a better choice in caterer!
